I’m sure you’ve seen what happens to diet coke when you add mentos by now. A link to the original video is here. Well, some bored and creative guys figured out a way to convert that reaction into a prank:
I discovered this today on TechCrunch and found the company’s “trailer” so hilarious I had to post it. The company turns your email inbox into a virtual 3D world, filled with avatars and spam-eating sharks. It appears a lot of effort has been put into a product that has been dubbed “the worst app ever.”
Paris Hilton. I’ve avoided reading the coverage, watching the news segments or participating in discussions about her. I found the media coverage of her personal troubles both disappointing and insulting. The fact that CNN.com links to stories about Paris next to important world news speaks volumes about the prosyletization of journalism.
However, I discovered it’s not just the consumers who are disgusted by the coverage. Mika Brzezinski, a former CBS news reporter, refused on air to read a report about Paris. After refusing, she proceeded to burn and then shred the report. This article details the event and some other interesting things (such as an AP ban on covering Paris), and you can watch the video below, which has been viewed almost 3 million times:
I stumbled upon an interesting video today that shows how to turn an elevator into express mode. The idea is that when you activate it, the elevator will take you to your desired floor while bypassing any passengers on other floors in between that it would normally pick up. This is especially useful in tall buildings with dozens of floors, where a ride from the lobby to the 50th floor can sometimes take several minutes as you pick up other passengers.
It would have been nice to have seen this video when I lived in New York — I now work on the 2nd floor of a 12 story building so it doesn’t help me out much now.
