It's interesting that Nielsen is using that metric. I use http://www.intellicast.com. They have pretty clean looking gadgets for iGoogle, if you use that as your homepage. From a user standpoint, it is implemented pretty easy. So an interesting note - the company I started, Digital Envoy, was acquired by the company that was previously the parent company of Weather - Landmark Communications. So you'd think it would be obvious to implement it on weather.com. I can't speak to what was done since I wasn't there at the time, but I've heard through the grapevine. I can probably say more in person than I should online. Next time we meet in person, remind me to give you the scoop.
